Sniplark Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Sniplark app for macOS. The website has its own policy.
Effective October 2026. Sniplark is published by Votivigy LLC.
The short version
Sniplark collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting of its own, and no server. Your screenshots never leave your Mac unless you export or copy them yourself.
Screenshots
When you press the capture shortcut, Sniplark reads the screen once and opens the image in an editor window. The image exists only in that window's memory. Sniplark does not save it to disk, keep a history, or send it anywhere. When you export, the PNG is written only to the location you choose; when you copy, the PNG is placed on the macOS clipboard. When you close the editor, the screenshot is gone.
Screen Recording permission
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for any app that captures the content of other apps. Sniplark asks for it in the welcome walkthrough and uses it only at the moment you trigger a capture. It never records video and never captures without your shortcut or menu bar click.
Settings
Your preferences (the two shortcuts, the shutter sound, crosshair guides, launch at login, and whether the welcome has been shown) are stored on your Mac in the app's sandboxed preferences. They contain nothing about the screenshots you take.
Purchases
Sniplark Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether Pro is unlocked. Sniplark never sees your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Network
Sniplark makes no network connections of its own. The only network activity is Apple's StoreKit, when you view, buy, or restore Pro.
Children
Sniplark collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears at this address with a new effective date.
